KAN > VRK

Kanyakumari:

The view from out of my hotel window and one of the few redeeming qualities of that town.

Transit:

This was a protest that held up my train on the way to Varkala. It was not actually for a political movement but in favor of dividing a local arterial for use by both vendors and vehicles.

Varkala:

Despite the natural beauty of this town I find it difficult to shoot even mildly interesting photos here. Clearly. This is the main beach, the town is up there.

That is all.

Christian, the shot from your hotel in Kan. is exactly what I pictured an India beach town would be like. And what did the rest of it look like? Varkala, on the other hand, should probably be named Vahalla. It has mesmerized you and your camera.

Hey. Did you mean arterial (as in road) or artillery (as in cannons)? Personally, I don't want my vendors having heavy weapons.

Remember Christian: We don't need redeeming qualities for those villages, they are what they are. They look pretty good from here, since we're on a quest with you. So soak it up as you go, you'll never regret IT! We're enjoying your Soak....
